Treatment Questions
-
Our treatments are specifically designed to target mosquitoes and ticks, and we guarantee great results for these two pests. We also see excellent results with fleas and other small, lightweight insects.
If you're dealing with fleas, ants, or chiggers, just let us know where you’re seeing them, and we can focus on those areas to give them the attention they need.
While flies, gnats, and no-see-ums are definitely pests, they’re a bit trickier for our treatments to target effectively. You might notice some reduction in their activity, but because their behavior and breeding habits are different from mosquitoes, it’s harder to fully eliminate them. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee complete control over these pests.
If you’re not sure what insect may be bothering you, just snap a picture and text it over. We’re always happy to adjust our treatment to help with what’s bothering you, so just reach out if you need extra assistance!

Every yard is different, so results can vary—but most of our customers see a dramatic reduction in mosquito activity. Some yards respond quickly and easily, especially if there’s a lot of dense, shady foliage—because that’s exactly where mosquitoes like to hide, and also where our treatment works best. It clings to the leaves and creates a powerful barrier that repels and eliminates mosquitoes right at their source.
Yards with fewer shrubs or only tall trees or forest lines can be a bit trickier, but we still see great results with the right treatment plan.
Here’s what you can typically expect:
After your first treatment: Around a 50% reduction in mosquito activity
After your second treatment: Up to 75% reduction
After your third treatment: Up to 95% or more reduction, as your full barrier takes effect
Of course, things like weather and environmental conditions can affect results, but we’re always here to adjust and optimize your treatment if needed. Many of our customers enjoy their yards bite-free for months at a time!
-
Most of our customers notice a big difference right away! The adult mosquitoes currently on your property are eliminated almost immediately after treatment, so you can often feel relief the same day.
In some cases, depending on factors like how many larvae are present or how active mosquitoes are in neighboring yards, it may take up to 48 hours to see the full effect. Our treatment also continues working over time, targeting any remaining mosquitoes and helping prevent new ones from taking hold.
Yards with lots of dense, shady foliage tend to respond especially well since that’s where mosquitoes love to hide—and where our product works best. Even if your yard has fewer shrubs or borders a wooded area, we still see strong results with the right plan in place.
Here’s a general idea of what to expect:
After your first treatment: Around 50% reduction
After your second treatment: Up to 75% reduction
After your third treatment: Up to 95% or more, once your full barrier is in place
Keep in mind that weather and environmental factors can affect results, but we’re always here to fine-tune your treatment and keep your yard as comfortable and bite-free as possible!

Professional mosquito treatments only last about 21 days due to a combination of environmental factors and mosquito biology. Here's more:
Weather Wear-Down: Sunlight and heat can break down the treatment over time. Even the best products lose strength when exposed to the elements.
Reinfestation: Mosquitoes reproduce quickly, and new generations can emerge that weren’t exposed to the initial treatment, reducing overall effectiveness after a few weeks.
Mosquito Travel: Even if your yard is treated, mosquitoes can fly in from untreated areas nearby. After 2–3 weeks, population rebound is common.
EPA Guidelines: Professional mosquito control products are tested and approved for roughly 21-day intervals to balance safety, effectiveness, and environmental impact.
-
Oh no—we definitely don’t want you dealing with mosquito bites between treatments! While our service is designed to dramatically reduce mosquito activity, there are a few reasons why a reinfestation might happen:
Challenging yard conditions: Some properties are harder to treat effectively—like those with tall trees, dense woods, or neighboring yards we can’t access. Mosquitoes can travel in from those untreated areas.
Pollinator protection: EPA regulations require us to avoid spraying actively flowering plants to help protect bees and other pollinators. While this is important, it can also leave small areas untreated where mosquitoes may continue to hide—especially during spring and summer bloom.
Standing water: Mosquitoes only need a tiny amount of water to breed—just a bottle cap’s worth! Items like buckets, toys, tires, planters, clogged gutters, downspouts, etc. can collect water between visits. We do our best to treat or remove standing water during each service, but new sources can pop up quickly.
If you're still noticing bites, don’t worry—just send us a quick text, and we’ll schedule a free re-treat to reinforce your barrier and help knock down any hot spots. We’re always here to make sure you stay comfortable and bite-free!
-
Mother Nature can be unpredictable! Sometimes, mosquito activity spikes between regular treatments—especially after heavy rain or rapid population growth. That’s where a re-treat comes in.
A re-treat is a free booster treatment we offer between your regularly scheduled services, if needed. If you notice a sudden increase in mosquito bites or activity 1–2 weeks after your last service, just reach out! We’ll schedule a re-treat to strengthen your barrier and take care of any hot spots that may have popped up.
It’s all part of making sure you stay protected and comfortable in your yard.
-
We don’t set a strict limit on re-treats—our goal is to do what’s best for your yard. It is not unusual for a property to need 1, maybe 2, re-treats during the season, depending on things like weather, humidity, and natural mosquito activity.
If we find that your yard consistently needs more frequent re-treats, it may be a sign that we need to adjust our approach. That could include options like more frequent treatments, mosquito traps, or addressing standing water or drainage issues.
Every yard is unique, and we’re always happy to talk through the best plan to keep yours as mosquito-free as possible.
-
Absolutely! While it’s always ideal if the whole neighborhood is treated, our service is highly effective even if just your property is protected. Every yard is different, but our proven method creates an invisible barrier around your home that repels and eliminates a wide range of pests, including mosquitoes.
Many mosquitoes don’t travel far from where they hatch, so when we disrupt their life cycle on your property, it becomes much harder for them to repopulate—giving you lasting relief no matter what your neighbors are doing.
Safety Questions
-
We use EPA-registered products that are specifically formulated to target mosquitoes and ticks, while being safe for people and pets when used as directed. These products are commonly used by professionals in both residential and public outdoor spaces.
Once the application is dry—typically about 30 to 60 minutes depending on weather—your yard is safe to enjoy again. Our technicians are trained to apply treatments responsibly, focusing on shaded foliage and mosquito-prone areas while avoiding flowers and pollinator habitats.
If you have any specific concerns or sensitivities, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to discuss product details and ensure your comfort and peace of mind.
-
Of course! We love animals and we would never put your pets at risk. The pesticide industry has come a long way since the days of highly toxic chemicals. We use pesticides that have the least amount of toxicity to humans, pets and other mammals and birds. We also always notify you when we have treated your yard so that everyone, pets included, can stay indoors while the treatment dries.
In fact, your yard will be much safer for your pets!
With regular treatments your pets can romp the yard freely without worry of fleas or ticks.
-
Yes—we take pollinator safety very seriously. Protecting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects is important to us and to the environment.
Our technicians are trained to:
Avoid blooming flowers, edible plants, and pollinator-attracting areas, as required by federal law.
Apply treatments only to non-flowering foliage and shaded areas where mosquitoes and ticks live and breed.
Use products that are not carried back to the hive, helping protect bee colonies from unintended exposure.
If your yard includes pollinator-friendly zones like flower beds or butterfly gardens, just let us know—we’ll take extra care to steer clear of those spaces. Working together, we can help control mosquitoes without harming the good bugs that keep your garden growing.
-
We understand the concern—many people dislike mosquitoes but also want to protect the environment. The good news is that our mosquito control service is designed to be both effective and eco-conscious.
Here are a few key points to know:
The product we use is a water-based formula derived from chrysanthemum flowers, known as a pyrethrin. It’s one of the least toxic and most environmentally considerate options available in pest control.
It is minimally absorbed through the skin, has shown no adverse effects in children or adults, and is among the least likely to harm birds or contaminate groundwater.
All pesticides carry some level of toxicity—so do common household products like Windex or even cedar oil. The key is proper use by trained professionals.
As a licensed applicator with years of experience and ongoing training, we strictly follow all EPA and state regulations, including:
Not spraying in winds over 10mph to avoid chemical drift
Avoiding blooming plants and pollinator zones
Applying only in targeted areas where mosquitoes breed and rest
When applied responsibly and according to label laws, these treatments pose minimal risk to the broader ecosystem while making a major difference in mosquito populations.
Service Questions
-
The time it takes can vary depending on the size of your yard and how much foliage needs to be treated. On average, a typical treatment will take about 10 to 15 minutes. Our technicians are trained to identify mosquito hotspots and problem areas, so they may spend a bit more time in certain sections where mosquitoes are most active.
If they notice higher activity in one area, they might spend a little longer focusing on that spot to ensure the best results. Ultimately, the time spent on your yard depends on what it needs!
-
In most cases, no. Our technicians are highly trained to identify and treat mosquito hot spots in your yard without needing a walkthrough. They’ll look for signs of activity and focus on areas like patios, decks, and children’s playsets—places where you’re most likely to spend time.
If you have specific concerns, a large property, or special requests, just let us know! Most additional notes can be added to your service with a quick message—no need to meet the technician in person. This helps ensure both your safety and the technician’s while they’re applying the treatment.
-
No they don’t! As long as we have access to your yard, you don’t need to be home during your treatment. In fact, for everyone’s safety, we ask that all people and pets stay indoors while the service is being performed.
If you have locked gates, please be sure to leave them unlocked on your service day. Any other specific instructions for yard access can easily be added to your service notes—just send us a quick message!
-
Once the treatment has dried, it's safe to enjoy your yard again! Drying usually takes about 30 minutes, but it can vary depending on weather conditions like humidity and shade. During especially humid or damp conditions, we recommend waiting about an hour to be safe before heading back outdoors.
You’ll know exactly what time the technician completed your service based on the door hanger, plus the completed service email.
-
In our area, mosquito season typically runs from March through October. Our treatments are applied every 3 weeks, as the product remains effective for approximately 21 days. This results in about 9 to 11 treatments per season, depending on when you begin your service.
The earlier you start in the season, the more consistent your protection will be. Regular treatments ensure the best results, so we recommend sticking to the 3-week schedule for optimal coverage and effectiveness.
-
Not usually. Mosquitoes tend to live and rest in shady, leafy areas, not in open, sunny grass. That’s why our treatment is primarily focused on bushes, dense foliage, and shaded spots where mosquitoes are most active.
However, in some cases—like if your yard has very little foliage—we may apply treatment to the grass to help repel mosquitoes and other small flying insects. We may also treat grassy areas if you’ve specifically requested help with fleas or ants in certain spots.
Let us know if you have any concerns, and we’ll tailor the treatment to your yard’s unique needs.
-
Mowing your lawn before our visit will not impact your mosquito treatment. Since most of our application targets shady foliage and not your grass, cutting the lawn won’t interfere with effectiveness.
The only exception is if another service—like mowing or landscaping—is happening at the same time we arrive. For safety reasons, we cannot treat your yard while others are working in it.
Regular lawn maintenance is actually helpful—it allows us to walk your yard more freely and ensures we can access all necessary treatment areas.
-
For your treatment to be effective, it cannot be applied during active rain or when there is standing water on foliage. Similarly, if wind gusts exceed 15 mph, it becomes unsafe to spray, as the application may drift to unintended areas.
If poor weather is expected or begins suddenly, we will postpone your service and send a notification with your rescheduled date. Summer storms can be unpredictable, and weather often varies across different parts of the county—so we do our best to make smart, real-time decisions based on safety and effectiveness.
Our technicians are trained to assess conditions on-site and will always make the best call. We appreciate your patience when rescheduling is necessary and will work to keep your service as timely as possible.
-
We do not regularly schedule services on weekends, and typically our technicians are not available for weekend treatments. We understand weekends are when you're most likely to enjoy your yard, which is why we aim to have your treatments completed beforehand.
However, in special circumstances—such as weather delays during the week or a last-minute event—we may offer weekend appointments to keep your schedule on track. While weekend availability is limited and not guaranteed, we’ll do our best to accommodate when possible.
If you’d like to request or decline weekend service, just text us at 336-396-3396 and we’ll do our best to meet your needs. Your satisfaction is always our priority!
-
We automatically schedule your next treatment about three weeks after your last service. You’ll receive:
A tentative service date via email and text 3 days before your appointment.
A confirmation with the exact day and time 1 day before your service.
You can also log into your customer portal at any time to view your estimated upcoming service schedule.
Please note: Your service date may shift slightly due to weather, routing, or technician availability. If you have a conflict—such as other workers scheduled to be in your yard—please text us directly at 336-396-3396. (Do not reply to automated notifications, as they are not monitored.)
-
No! Unlike big franchises, we don’t require any contracts. Our pricing stays the same regardless of how many treatments you receive, and you’re free to start or stop your service at any time. We like to keep things simple and flexible—because your satisfaction matters most.
That said, please note:
We can only guarantee results for customers on a regular 3-week (or 2-week) treatment schedule. Free re-treatments are not offered to customers outside of that regular schedule, as consistent applications are key to effective mosquito control. By signing up for services and receiving your confirmation email, you agree for our technicians to enter your property and apply pesticides specifically for the treatment of mosquitoes and ticks. -
Yes—we stand behind our service with a satisfaction guarantee for customers who are on a regular treatment schedule (every 3 weeks or more frequently). If you're following our recommended schedule and still noticing mosquito activity, let us know—we’ll come back and retreat your yard at no additional charge.
However, it's important to set realistic expectations:
Our treatments greatly reduce mosquito and tick populations, but no service can eliminate 100% of pests.
You may still see occasional activity, especially right after rain or if your property borders untreated areas.
Best results come with consistent applications, starting early in the season and continuing throughout mosquito season.
Please note that we do not offer free re-treats for customers who are not on a regular 3-week (or 2-week) schedule, as ongoing protection is key to maintaining control.
If our regular service is not working for your yard, we’re happy to discuss other options to meet your satisfaction. And of course, no contracts means you are not locked in to a service agreement with us.
-
Yes—we can customize your service schedule to fit your needs, including monthly or 6-week treatments. However, it’s important to know that these extended schedules may result in reduced effectiveness, especially during peak mosquito season.
Because our recommended schedule is every 3 weeks (or 2 weeks for high activity areas), only customers on that routine are eligible for free re-treats under our satisfaction guarantee.
If you prefer more flexibility, we also offer one-time treatments on an as-needed basis. These are ideal for special events or short-term relief and start at $70 per treatment, reflecting the extra care required to manage mosquito populations without consistent preventative service.
Let us know your goals, and we’ll help you find the best fit for your yard and lifestyle.
-

Absolutely! We proudly service both commercial and real estate properties, including schools, rental homes, event venues, and more. If you have a property in mind, just reach out to us directly to discuss your needs—we’ll provide a quick, customized quote.
We may be a small business, but we’re fully equipped to handle even large properties, often at a better value than national franchises. Give us a try and see the difference for yourself!
